Is Approvable a scam?
Fair question. Approvable is a small, independent team that builds software to help people check their own visa application before they send it. You tell us where you are going and upload what you plan to submit. Our software reads it against the published reasons that visa is refused, and show you where it is thin and what evidence would answer it. Your report arrives in minutes. We cannot promise any decision, and nobody honest can.
- We are not linked to any embassy, visa centre or government. We cannot speed up, influence or check on a decision. We are not a law firm, an immigration adviser or a visa agent. Where a case needs a regulated adviser, we say so.
- You only pay on our own checkout, on approvable.app, from the case page. Never by bank transfer to a person, in a comment, in a direct message or on WhatsApp.
- We never message first asking for money or documents. If someone claiming to be Approvable asks you to pay, or to send your passport or bank statements, it is not us. Do not send anything. Tell us at desk@approvable.app so we can warn others. Please do not post personal details in public comments.
Security
- Your card never reaches us. You pay on Stripe’s or Paystack’s own secure payment page, or through the App Store or Google Play in the phone app. We never see or store your card number.
- Your case link works like a key. Each one is long and random, so it cannot be guessed. Anyone with it can open the case, so keep it private, as you would a password. It is never sent to our analytics or advertising tools.
- Always over a secure connection. Browsers are told to use HTTPS only, every time, and the site cannot be shown inside another website’s frame, which stops a fake page wrapping ours.
- A strict content policy. The browser only loads scripts from, and connects to, the services we list, so a script hosted anywhere else cannot be loaded into our pages.
- A bot check before a case opens. Cloudflare Turnstile confirms a real visitor, not a bot, is starting the case.
- Limits on repeated requests, so forms and the free tools cannot be flooded.
- Sign-in links only send you to our own pages. A crafted link cannot hand you to another website after you sign in.
Privacy and your data
- Locked before it is stored. Your documents and answers are encrypted before they are saved, with a key made from your case link. We do not keep the link itself, so a copy of our database cannot be read. While your check runs, our software and Anthropic, the company whose model reads your case, do see it. So this is not end-to-end encryption.
- Kept only as long as your case needs it. Case content is kept for 30 days after payment, so the re-run included with your check can read the same documents. It is deleted then, or as soon as the report from that re-run is emailed. A case that is never paid for is deleted 7 days after it opens. An empty case record, with no content, is kept for 90 days for payments and the audit trail.
- You can delete a case yourself at any time, from the case page. It is immediate.
- Used only to check your case. We never sell your documents or your details.
- Advertising pixels load only if you say yes. The Google, Meta and TikTok tags stay off until you choose Accept, and Decline keeps them off.
- Our own analytics set no cookies and never receive your case link, your email address, your phone number or your name.
- Who processes your data is listed on the privacy page, with what each one receives and how to ask what we hold or to have it deleted.
Safety of the advice you get
- Official sources only. Every reason a visa can be refused that we show quotes the government’s own published text, and links to it.
- Checks in code come first. Twenty consistency checks run before any model reads your case, and the model can only add concerns, never remove one the checks found.
- A person signs off every rule change. When an official page changes, nothing is updated on its own. A named member of our team reviews the change, and older versions are kept.
- The AI Consulate answers only from our checked sources. It cannot browse the web or take actions, every quote it shows must match an official source word for word, and when the sources do not cover a question it says "I do not know."
- We do not sell checks we know cannot help. Where an official rule or processing time means a paid check would not help you in time, we say so and point you to a free alternative instead of taking payment.
Compliance
- Not immigration advice. Approvable is a readiness check. Every report and letter carries a notice saying so, and where a case needs advice we point you to a regulated adviser.
- No referral fees. When we suggest a regulated adviser, Approvable receives no fee for this referral, and pays none.
- Tax on card payments is handled by Stripe as the seller of record for payments made through it.
- Marketing only with your consent, asked separately for email and for WhatsApp. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and once you opt out you stay out.
- Phone app purchases follow the store rules. The app sells through the App Store and Google Play only.
Inside our team
- Each admin signs in as themselves, with their own key, so every change is recorded against the person who made it.
- Your messages to us are not repeated back. The confirmation email from our contact form never includes what you wrote, so nobody can use our form to send email in our name.
- The community keeps personal details out. Posts containing an email address, a case link or a long number such as a passport number are refused, and email addresses are never stored with a post.
- No secrets in our code. Keys and passwords are kept in our hosting settings, never in the code itself.
Approvable helps you check and prepare your own application. It is not immigration advice or legal advice. We cannot tell you if you will get the visa, and we do not guarantee that you will.
