What the ground says

The applicant must have sufficient funds to cover all reasonable costs in relation to their visit without working or accessing public funds, including the cost of the return or onward journey, any costs relating to dependants, and the cost of planned activities. A third party may provide support where they have a genuine professional or personal relationship with the applicant and are not, or will not be, in breach of UK immigration laws.

The three ways this ground is ticked
The balance does not cover the trip as described. Or it does, but it arrived in one deposit shortly before the application with no stated source. Or a sponsor was named in a letter and their own statements, payslips and status were not in the application.
The deposit question
A large credit is not a problem. An unexplained large credit is. The officer cannot tell whose money it is, and money borrowed to sit in an account for a visa application is common enough that they look for it. If you sold a car, say so and enclose the agreement. If a relative sent it, say so and enclose their statement and a short letter.
What answers it
Six months of statements from the account that will pay, with the bank's name on every page. Payslips that match the credits. A written source for every large deposit. Where a sponsor pays: their invitation and undertaking, their statements, their payslips, and proof of their status in the UK.
Costing the trip honestly
Add the flights, the accommodation for every night, the daily spending, and anything your dependants need while you are away. If the total is more than you can evidence, the answer is a shorter trip or an evidenced sponsor, not a larger number in the form.
Evidence that addresses it
- Six months of personal bank statements, stamped or downloaded from the bank with the bank's name on every page
- Payslips matching the salary credits in the statements
- A written explanation and evidence of the source of any large or unusual credit
- Where a sponsor pays: their letter of invitation and undertaking, their bank statements, payslips, and proof of their UK immigration status
- Proof of accommodation: hotel booking, or the sponsor's address with proof they live there
Your route
Reapply
There is no limit on how soon you can apply again, and no limit on how many times. A new application is decided on its own evidence, so the only thing that changes the outcome is addressing the grounds the officer used.

Administrative review corrects a case working error. It is not available on most Standard Visitor refusals, and it cannot consider evidence you did not already send.
