Nigerians and Ghanaians need an eVISA to visit Malaysia, applied for only on the official portal, malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my. Indians do not need a visa for a social visit until 31 December 2026. Nigerians and Ghanaians may enter by air only. The official pages do not list reasons for refusing an eVISA, and the decision may be given without any reason. So these grounds rest on what the portal says an application must contain, and on the Immigration Act 1959/63 classes of people who may not enter. Every visitor must also fill in the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) within 3 days before arriving. The official pages do not state how long a Nigerian or Ghanaian may stay on a Single Entry Visa, so 30 days is a working figure, not an official rule.

Where does your application stand?

Answer a few questions and see how each requirement usually reads on your facts.

  1. 1 Why are you going?

The purpose has to be one the visa permits, and the rest of the application has to match it.

  2. 2 Who is paying for the trip?

Money that is not yours has to be evidenced by the person whose money it is.

  3. 3 What do you do at home?

This is the tie the officer weighs most heavily, and the one most often left unevidenced.

  4. 4 What is your travel history?

Travel you completed and returned from is the single most useful thing you can show.
